Handcrafted from Nature, Woven with Tradition
Each Kambot bilum begins with bark harvested from native trees like Rumia, Gomba, and Mangas. The bark is softened in river water, naturally dyed in black swamp mud, sun-dried, and hand-twisted into strong fibre. Using age-old weaving techniques passed down through generations, women artisans of Kambot Village in East Sepik, Papua New Guinea, transform these fibres into striking, durable bilums — each one a unique expression of culture and craftsmanship.
Light weight yet strong, this piece is ideal for quick errands, market strolls, brunch dates, or simply adding a statement to your outfit.

Care Instructions
Each bilum is one-of-a-kind and handcrafted using natural materials. To keep it looking its best, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and moisture, which may cause fading or wear.
For a gentle refresh, hang your bilum in the sun for a few hours, then give it a light shake to remove dust or debris.
IMPORTANT
Kambot bilums are dyed using natural methods and colours may not be completely fast. To avoid potential transfer, take care around light-coloured clothing and fabrics, and keep your bilum dry.
Each bilum is handmade with care, so slight variations and imperfections are part of the unique charm. Over time, natural softening and subtle colour changes may occur - a beautiful sign of its authenticity and life.
