Handcrafted from Nature, Woven with Tradition
Each Kambot bilum clutch begins with bark harvested from native trees like Rumia, Gomba, and Mangas. The bark is softened in river water, naturally dyed in black swamp mud, sun-dried, and hand-twisted into strong fibre. Using age-old weaving techniques passed down through generations, women artisans of Kambot Village in East Sepik, Papua New Guinea, transform these fibres into striking, durable bilum clutch bags — each one a unique expression of culture and craftsmanship.
This handwoven bilum clutch brings a bold twist to traditional PNG craftsmanship. Featuring a striking zigzag pattern in burnt orange and natural fibre tones, it's perfect as a statement clutch or purse for evenings out, casual days or adding a pop of artisan flair to any outfit.

Care Instructions
Each bilum clutch is one-of-a-kind and handcrafted using natural materials. To keep it looking its best, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight and moisture, which may cause fading or wear.
For a gentle refresh, place your bilum clutch in the sun for a few hours, then give it a light shake to remove dust or debris.
IMPORTANT
Kambot bilum clutch bags are dyed using natural methods and colours may not be completely fast. To avoid potential transfer, take care around light-coloured clothing and fabrics, and keep your bilum clutch dry.
Each bilum clutch is handmade with care, so slight variations and imperfections are part of the unique charm. Over time, natural softening and subtle colour changes may occur - a beautiiful sign of its authenticity and life.
